We’ve done the research and found a bunch of Scarborough watering holes that welcome dogs.
THE BELLYRUB
The BellyRub is not only a great place to eat, but also a great place to take your dog because it is one of the few dog-friendly pubs in Scarborough. If you couldn’t tell by the name, this is a place where humans and their pets can relax and enjoy each other’s company.
A variety of delicious street foods are available, in addition to a large range of craft brews. There are also likely to be treats for your dog, such as some specialised peanut-butter biscuits.

THE OLD SCALBY MILLS
Everyone, young or old, human or dog, is treated with kindness and hospitality at The Old Scalby Mills. Enjoy delicious, handcrafted pub fare while taking in breathtaking ocean views; they’re “dog and sprog friendly.”
It’s conveniently located at the end of the prom next to the Sea Life Centre, so you can burn off some of your appetite with a stroll along the beachfront beforehand.

SCARBOROUGH ARMS
Located in the heart of Scarborough, this classic pub has everything one could expect in a watering hole, including welcoming families and their four-legged friends. There are a lot of people working there, the beer is fresh out of the barrel, and there’s a tonne of fun stuff to do.
You won’t find ordinary pub cuisine at the Scarborough Arms, but the dinner is excellent. From classics like steak and ale pie to tasty sweets like biscoff cheesecake, this collection has it all.

THE PLOUGH
The Plough can be found in the lovely village of Scalby, which is located just outside of Scarborough. The bar here allows well-behaved dogs inside. (After 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays, please note that dogs are not permitted inside.)
It’s worth going a little out of your way to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, award-winning cuisine, and well-stocked bar at this restaurant.
You can get some shuteye here, and it’s a great jumping off point for hikes in the magnificent North York Moors.

THE HOLE IN THE WALL
You can find the Hole in the Wall just a short distance from South Bay Beach. There’s another dog-friendly watering hole in Scarborough, and it’s often regarded as the best watering hole in town.
Ale lovers can choose from a wide selection of cask and keg ales, and non-ale drinkers can choose from an extensive wine, spirit, and cocktail list.
The staff, who are also great with people, will lavish attention on your dog. (However, they will receive less belly rubs.)

NORTH RIDING BREW CLUB
The North Riding Brew Club is the best place to have a drink in town, since it has been recognised as CAMRA’s pub of the year no fewer than ten times. This classic watering hole has retained some of its original cinema-era features.
The crew is always happy to meet new canine pals, and local pub dog Citra is always happy to see new canine faces.

BRYHERSTONES INN
The Bryherstones Inn, a country inn with a rich history, has been run by the same family for decades. They are dedicated to preserving the inn’s past while providing all the conveniences patrons have come to expect.
The end product is a warm and inviting watering hole serving up pub classics with an emphasis on regional and seasonal produce.
Also, it’s located on the picturesque North York Moors, so it’s a great place to rest and refuel after a hike in the surrounding area.

It is best to phone ahead to make sure they are open before showing up, but they are “always open.”
THE ALBERT
It’s hard to find fault with The Albert. The portions are generous and the food is delicious; the environment is fun without being overwhelming; and there are options for keeping the youngsters (or large kids) occupied, such as a selection of video games.
Everyone working here is fantastic, and that includes taking care of the dog. You get extra points since Fido is welcome to spend the night.

THE TURKS HEAD
The Turks Head is another dog-friendly pub in Scarborough that has the atmosphere of a classic watering hole. The upper game area features a breathtaking panorama of the shore if you can bear to part with Fido for for a short while.
If not, you and Fido may relax with a pint at this lively, friendly drinking spot away from the city’s hustle and bustle.

THE STUMBLE INN
The Stumble Inn is the first micropub in Scarborough and the best place to go out in the city, according to TripAdvisor. You can walk there from the railway station in just a few minutes, and they have an excellent selection of real ale, craft beer, cider, and even wine and champagne.
Children are not permitted, however pets are accepted. This is a wet-only establishment, however they do serve bar nibbles like a cheese board and antipasti on Sundays.
If you snack, please consider making a contribution to the air ambulance. (And maybe set aside a bit of cheese for Fido to sniff.)

THREE JOLLY SAILORS
Outside of Scarborough, in a more rural setting, you’ll find the lovely stone-built tavern known as the Three Jolly Sailors, where you and your pet are welcome to relax and unwind.
Get some food in your stomach and relax with a pint of good lager while you warm up next to the fireplace. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly pub in Scarborough, go no further; this is one of the best.
Getting out of town is a fantastic pretext for some outdoor exercise.

THE GRAPES INN
Stopping at the Grapes Inn between Pickering and Scarborough on a coastal stroll is convenient. The cuisine at this family-owned and -operated bar is a showcase of the best that the region has to offer, with an emphasis on gastropub classics made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Even though it’s a fine dining establishment, you can stop in for a drink if you’re in the area, and the cosy atmosphere and helpful staff may convince you to remain for dinner. Anytime your dog wants to come hang out, they are more than welcome.

THE TAP & SPILE
Past the station and the Stumble Inn, on the same road, you’ll find the Tap and Spile. The grade-II structure may not give it away, but this is a real bar with plenty of personality, excellent beer, and a cosy back room stuffed with souvenirs from the area.
This dog-friendly Scarborough bar has a welcoming atmosphere and helpful bartenders, and your four-legged pet is more than welcome to tag along.

THE LEEDS ARMS
Even after a recent renovation, the small but much-loved local retains its original charm and decor, making it one of the most peaceful pubs in town. (You may find a lot of nautical and fishing-themed trinkets from the past here.)
The Leeds Arms welcomes dogs, however it is an adult-only establishment, so don’t bring the kids. This pub is perfect if you’re looking for some peace and quiet to go with your beer.

THE CASK INN
The Cask Inn, like many other Scarborough watering holes, welcomes families with children and pets. Relaxing here with your dog is a breeze because both you and Fido are treated like royalty.
