THE DRIFT INN

The Drift Inn is a quaint little hotel located smack dab in the middle of the New Forest. When you’re among miles of heathland and clearly defined walks, it’s hard to resist drifting into this quaint country bar.

Dogs are welcomed with goodies, water bowls, and a towel to clean their paws after romping in the garden or on the playground, while youngsters may enjoy the spacious outdoor spaces.

HORSE AND GROOM

Located on the outskirts of the New Forest and not far from the Cranbourne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Horse and Groom is a warm and welcoming local watering hole for families. There are open fireplaces, regional cuisine, and beers on tap, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Vegetarians can also benefit from its wide selection of vegetarian options. Everyone is welcome within the pub’s wood-paneled walls, including children and their pets.

THE INN AT WOODSIDE

The Woodside Inn, part of the wonderfully titled Sandy Balls Holiday Village, has just undergone renovations that make it the ideal place to stop and unwind after exploring the area’s 120 acres of woods and park.

A full pub lunch is available here for resort guests, and Fido is more than welcome to join you. Nearby, you’ll find the dog-friendly Fighting Cocks pub.

THE FORESTERS ARMS

You and Fido may get some exercise and then reward yourself with a pint at the Forester Arms in Frogham because it is positioned just next to a fantastic 7-mile walk. The friendly donkeys in front of this bar have made it popular in the community.

The interior has also been completely redecorated, giving it a distinct country manor feel. This will quickly become a favorite among dog owners and their four-legged friends in search of regional fare, craft beer, and a warm atmosphere.

THE RED SHOOT

If you ever find yourself in Linwood, be sure to visit The Red Shoot. This is the archetypal English rural pub thanks to the friendly service, delicious food, and outstanding beer selection. Even a microbrewery can be found there!

There are various animals that are often accepted there, such as horses that are taking their owners out for a pint and even a few parrots, and your dog will be one of them. You’ll be glad to know that the New Forest is a part of Red Shoot Camping Park if you’re thinking about taking a trip there.

THE ROCKINGHAM ARMS

The Rockingham Arms is a rural bar that takes pride in its friendly atmosphere and convenient location near the beautiful Canada Common and its miles of walking trails.

THE RISING SUN

The Rising Sun in New Milton is most well known for its menu of substantial pub favorites and light nibbles. This location has been home to a tavern for generations, with several reconstructions (the most recent being during the Victorian era) taking place there.

It has received substantial renovation in the previous few years and looks wonderful inside. This bar welcomes both families with children and dogs, and the outdoor play area is great for kids.

THE TRUSTY SERVANT

The Trusty Servant, which overlooks the village green (and stocks), is situated in the centre of Minstead. A true country pub, precisely as you would expect. Please feel free to bring the entire crew (along with their muddy footwear). Coach parties, hikers, dog walkers, children, and cyclists are all frequent visitors.

Both people and their canine friends can recharge with a variety of delectable treats after a strenuous walk.

The White Buck Inn has been renovated into a bright and airy bar that blends contemporary design with historic elements. It’s historic, too, having served as a hospital throughout the First World War. This tavern offers a couple of comfortable rooms available if you’re looking for somewhere to stay the night.

However, there is a lot of staff that adores dogs and the pub’s food is excellent. There’s always a dog lounging at the bar, maybe because they know there are biscuit jars waiting for them.

This tavern serves excellent fish dishes on Fridays and Saturdays, in addition to their Sunday roasts. There’s a good chance you could get lost and end up at the New Forest Inn in Ashurst, which is four miles up the road.

The Turfcutter’s Arms was voted 2018’s best dog-friendly pub in the New Forest, and it also has rooms, so you and your four-legged buddy may stay there while you explore the area. (Plus, there are many great hikes in the area.)

People love coming here because of the welcoming atmosphere, the excellent frequent live music, and the fascinating local history shown on the walls. Those who would rather spend their time outdoors will like the spacious garden and the covered patio.

The High Corner Inn is a truly hidden gem, located at the end of a gravel drive that is more easily accessible by horse than by car. This calm, teal-accented bar is a favorite among weary hikers since it seems to be in the middle of nowhere and because it is used to welcome families on walks, horse riders, and canine companions.

The beer garden’s seclusion means that you could spot wildlife such as New Forest ponies, piglets, and birds.

THE FORESTERS ARMS

The Foresters Arms is the second pub with that name on this list and is the most well-liked one in Brockenhurst. There is a noisier bar next to the front and a lounge bar with a more laid-back atmosphere farther back.

The ideal place to refuel after a stroll, catch a game or enjoy live music is this pub. Additionally, The Huntsman of Brockenhurst, another local establishment that welcomes dogs, and Brockenhurst station are both close by.

THE COMPASS INN

Finally, The Compass Inn claims to be the New Forest’s most dog-friendly bar. Except for Sunday brunch, this is an adult-only restaurant. (There are few exceptions for those of teen age.)

While their human companions enjoy some pub cuisine, dogs are able to roam freely inside and out and even get a complimentary doggy dinner. Furthermore, there is not a single crumb of gluten anywhere in the bar. Also, on the first Sunday of every month, they hold social dog walks.
