THE BRITANNIA
You and Fido may play fetch in Richmond Green, and then go up the charming path to The Britannia for some refreshments.
Dog owners can bring their four-legged friends to this locally owned gastropub because they always have dog goodies on hand. You can also meet Quill, the pub dog, who is always looking for a human or another dog to play with.

LASS O’ RICHMOND HILL
Those who have been walking in Richmond Park, with or without their dogs, are sure to stop in at this quaint country-style bar.
The Lass O’ Richmond Hill is one of the few establishments in Richmond that welcomes dogs, so you can bring Fido in for a drink after a long day of hiking. There, you can feast on regal Sunday roasts, sirloin, and sandwich spreads fit for a king.

THE NEW INN
After taking your dog on one of Richmond’s best walks on Ham Common, stop into The New Inn for a refreshing drink. The Good Pub Guide has recognized this beautiful Georgian watering hole for its “laid-back atmosphere, pleasant service, and luxurious food.” (Amazing home-smoked ribs are included!)

At The Tap Tavern, they have plenty of goodies for both humans and canines. (Don’t get the two mixed up, no matter how ravenous you are.)
If you’re Hank Marvin, you’ll love the meal here; they have one of the best Sunday roasts in the neighborhood. Also, there is an abundance of locally produced gin and beer for those who want to wash it down.

THE MARLBOROUGH
The Sunday roast at The Marlborough is unrivaled, particularly for the enormous Yorkshire puddings and tender, flavorful meat they provide.
The pub is conveniently located for those who want to refuel after a trip around Richmond Park or for those who want to take a leisurely stroll in the evening to enjoy a drink in their garden. Plus, dogs of all sizes are welcome inside and treated to treats and affection from the employees.

THE HARE AND HOUNDS
Many Richmond families bring their dogs to this popular pub during the day, and the establishment has been serving locals since 1776.
However, after night falls, it’s 21+ only. The Hare and Hounds features one of the largest beer gardens in the neighborhood and plenty of quiet nooks where you and your hound may unwind in peace and quiet.

THE OLD SHIP
The Old Ship is one of town’s friendliest and coziest watering holes, and its doors are always open. Gin enthusiasts have found it to be a good place to satisfy their cravings for traditional pub fare and libations such as British beer and independent spirits.

If you’re a fan of the TV show Ted Lasso, you may recognize The Prince’s Head as the setting for the main character’s watering hole.

THE MITRE
Since Rudi the Cocker Spaniel is a local star, it would be a shame if The Mitre wasn’t one of the most dog-friendly pubs in Richmond. In the past, Rudi has been voted Britain’s cutest bar dog, and he proudly displays his award above his bed in the establishment.

Despite the fact that Paws for Coffee is not a bar, we would be remiss if we did not mention it. Both people and their canine companions will find safety here.
While you tuck into a delicious breakfast before taking Fido for a stroll in neighboring Bushy Park, your dog may have a puppacino and read the doggie menu for a special treat or help themselves to a biscuit from the jars on the counter. They also provide doggie daycare and training programs, which is quite convenient.

THE BROWN DOG
The Brown Dog is tucked away in Barnes, right next to Richmond Park. A family- and dog-friendly bar in Richmond, where furry friends are treated to free treats, water, and a pat on the head when they visit.
It’s also a fantastic human gastropub, serving up an abundance of delicious seasonal fare. Some of their fresh wood-fired pizzas are even given the names of regular animal customers.

THE WHITE SWAN
Nesting White Swans can be found near Marble Hill Park and the river. The Evening Standard called it “probably the nicest bar” in London, and The Londonist called it a “hidden gem” with “one of the best beer gardens” in the city.
If you want to appreciate the garden, though, you’ll need to keep an eye on the tides, as it often disappears under the River Thames. Buster, the pub dog, and the employees at this lovely watering hole are always happy to greet new four-legged patrons.

Not only is the White Cross one of the nicest pubs in all of Richmond, but whenever the Thames overflows its banks, the beer garden floods, making it a true watering hole in every sense of the word!
