The Farmers Arms

Despite its location away from the beach and the centre of Newquay, the Farmers Arms is one of the city’s most well-known and dog-friendly watering holes.

You can experience genuine Cornish friendliness at The Farmers, where you can also enjoy locally brewed beers and ciders and dishes prepared with even more regional ingredients. Located in the middle of St. Columb Minor, a charming fishing village, it is definitely worth the few kilometres it takes to walk there and back.

The Red Lion

In addition to serving casque mark-approved ales, live music, pool tables, dart boards, video games, and genuine fireplaces, the Red Lion is a classic pub with all the amenities one could want.

The Lion isn’t some dive bar hidden down a side alley; rather, it’s a warm and inviting establishment with plenty of comfortable seating and a kind staff that welcomes four-legged guests with a special pet and a bag of snacks on the house. The Old Albion

The Old Albion in Crantock is a dog-friendly pub both inside and out, unlike the neighbouring Bowgie Inn. The 15-minute walk to Crantock beach makes it the perfect place to halt on the way home from a day in the sand.

The Fort Inn

Tables at the Mermaid Inn extend out onto Porth Beach, making it the perfect place to enjoy the sun and take in the scenery.

Even though dogs are welcome inside and out at this bar, their paws and feet won’t be able to get sandy. As long as the sun shines, it’s easy to forget that you’re not actually on a beach somewhere exotic.

Tom Thumb

The Tom Thumb has a speakeasy feel, and it’s the best bar in Newquay to get a drink. Don’t be deceived by the unremarkable facade; the interior is rather stylish.

In fact, you might be surprised to learn that this posh establishment welcomes both people and dogs; in fact, your dog will be served water before you’ve even placed your drink order!

The bar, like its namesake, is quite small, and it doesn’t accept reservations, so patrons must simply “pup” in and hope for a table.

Lost Brewing Co.

It’s safe to say that Lost Brewing Co. is the hippest spot in town, as it’s still relatively unknown. They provide a wide variety of craft beers, including some of their own creations, as well as cocktails, wines, and juices to satisfy every palette.

Vegan and gluten-free options abound, and the menu features everything from breakfast burritos to buddha bowls and burgers. Even though it has a hipster vibe, this business has real soul, and the staff is really welcoming to dogs.

The Treguth Inn is an authentic British watering hole, complete with a thatched roof and whitewashed walls. The scene might have been lifted off off a postcard! There isn’t any gourmet cuisine here, but you can get some standard bar food.

In contrast, the Treguth draws customers with its homey atmosphere, friendly staff, and wide array of fine brews. It’s also one of the few Newquay bars that welcomes dogs, with doggy water bowls, complimentary goodies, and a steady stream of canine companions looking for playmates.

Although though it’s located in a quiet spot out of the way of the town, The Smugglers Den is always bustling with activity on weeknights. But, there is enough parking, a dog-friendly area within, a garden, and a terrace with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

The Two Clomes

If you’re willing to venture outside of Newquay, the Two Clomes is a peaceful small bar that won’t disappoint. Because of how pup-ular it is, you should leave early to ensure a parking spot.

The pub cuisine is homestyle and filling, and the quantities are ample, but there are also some fancier alternatives, such as open sandwiches made with fabulously fresh seafood. It’s so delicious that you may have trouble saving any for Fido.

The Fistral Beach Bar, as the name would suggest, is located at the northernmost end of Fistral Beach and welcomes people of all ages inside for a refreshing beverage and some tasty bar snacks.
