Even more dog-owning families make the journey to the Cotswolds to take their canine companions on walks than the number of canines who actually live there attest to the region’s appeal.
There are many dogs and dog owners in this rural area, making it not only a great spot to visit but also a desirable place to call home. There is a wide variety of dog-friendly pubs in the Cotswolds, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’ve compiled a list of our favourites.
THE CHEQUERS
Tatler magazine named The Chequers one of the top pubs in the Cotswolds because of how fashionable it is. Because of its excellent cuisine, it is featured in the Michelin Guide.
Featuring luxurious decor and fare, fresh beers, and a one-of-a-kind ambiance, this country inn is the epitome of rustic elegance. While its miraculous qualities are undeniable, we find that the fact that it welcomes canine companions to be its most appealing feature.
