Eligible for New Canada Workers Benefit 2024

To be eligible for the Canada Workers Benefit, you have to be a resident of Canada and at least 19 years old on December 31 of the year you are filing.
The applicant must be paying taxes and earning less than the net income permitted by their province or territory of residence.
You are not eligible if you are a diplomat, official, or servant of another country, or if you are related to or work for someone who is. If you attend a designated educational organization full-time, you are also not eligible (unless you have an eligible dependent).
Furthermore, you are not eligible for CWB if you have been incarcerated for at least ninety days in the previous year.

Canada Workers Benefit Payment Dates 2024 New Schedule

Under the significantly enhanced Canada Workers Benefit, eligible Canadians received their CWB First October 2023 Payment from the Canada Revenue Agency on July 28. Those who got the Canada Workers Benefit in 2022 will automatically be eligible for the Eligible for New Canada Workers Benefit in 2024, which is an additional payment to their income, without having to submit an application.

The funds will be disbursed in three advance installments in July 2023, October 2023, and January 2024 in accordance with the Canada Workers Benefit Payment Dates 2024. How to Apply for Canada Workers Benefit 2024?

By utilizing certified tax software and adhering to the instructions provided on the official Canada Revenue Agency website, an individual can apply for the Canada Workers Benefit online. As an alternative, Schedule 6, Canada Workers Benefit, may be completed on paper and sent with income tax returns to apply for Canada Workers Benefit in 2024.
The applicant or applicant’s spouse must file claims for both the base credit and the disability supplement if they are qualified for the DTC. Otherwise, they will not receive the disability supplement. If both spouses are qualified, only one may claim the minimal amount; separate Schedule 6 forms must be filed for the disability supplement.
